Martin Rimmer visit - The Fry Group

During the first week of February, Fulcra welcomed Martin Rimmer the Tax Manager from the International Division of the Fry Group.

As an ex-Inland Revenue employee Martin is well placed to handle the tax affairs of the many UK nationals living in overseas. As well as holding a number of one-to-one sessions during his week long visit Martin will be presenting to a Group of EU Officials on Tuesday 2nd February, the title being: ‘European savings tax implications on bank accounts held in Belgium, UK and Offshore’. The presentation was given by Martin together with Marc Quaghebeur, a partner with Vandendijk and Partners, and Tim Nicholls the Managing Director of Fulcra.

The same team of Martin and Marc then held a presentation for clients of Fulcra in the Conference suite here at our office at 168 Ave de Tervuren on Thursday 4th February. With the title – ‘Are you British? Where will you pay Inheritance Tax?’ the seminar helped British nationals understand the implications of domicile and residence and the bearing this has on inheritance tax.
