About us
In 2009 we announced that The Fry Group had taken the first step towards fully acquiring Fulcra by taking a minority shareholding. We are delighted to confirm that Fry has now taken full ownership, thus giving Fulcra a depth and expertise which is difficult to match.
The Fry Group was established in 1898 and provides tax and financial planning advice to clients worldwide from their offices in the UK, and internationally from offices in Cyprus, Hong Kong, Singapore and now in Brussels, through Fulcra. Services which we can provide are:
▲ Tax-led financial advice▲ International and domestic pension planning
▲ Retirement planning
▲ Residence and domicile advice
▲ Will and estate planning
Now part of this larger group, and with the additional resources that this brings, the Fulcra team looks forward to continuing to provide clients with first-class financial planning advice. As your trusted financial partner we would be pleased to help on any of the above areas.
The Fulcra Strategy
When trying to come to grips with your personal finances, you are faced with a bewildering array of opportunities and risks; of companies and specialists who could advise you. You may have the expertise to handle all this, but the chances are you do not have the time.
Your Fulcra adviser will analyse your situation and investigate the opportunities. He or she will locate appropriate companies and specialists for you and make impartial recommendations. You will still be in control, but you can concentrate on your career and leave the financial coordination to us.
Independent Financial Planning
You can be confident that Fulcra's advice is impartial, because we are independent of any one company. This means we are free to seek out the very best providers to meet your needs.
You may be faced with potentially complex issues, such as
- periods of employment abroad
- pension service in a number of countries
- mixed nationality marriage
- retirement in another country.
Fulcra's independence is essential in order for us to plan the most effective strategy for you.
Fulcra advisers have built up a great familiarity with a large number of organisations in different countries. We continually monitor the market and changes in regulations, services and products so you can have access to the most up-to-date information.
The Fulcra Network
There may be occasions when we will have to work with other experts in order to provide you with a comprehensive solution. For instance, areas such as
- the provision of Wills
- dealing with cross-border tax issues
- the establishment of Trusts
- complex international pension planning
are likely to require the services of other financial professionals. Fulcra has built up an international network of specialists who can provide you with expert advice as and when required. We will coordinate this activity on your behalf, ensuring effective integration into your overall financial strategy.
An International Perspective
Fulcra advisers are aware of the additional complications posed by a career that includes employment in different countries or by having accumulated savings and property in more than one location. Our approach to financial planning is therefore international in scope, seeking to make the most of the opportunities created by your unique circumstances.
Passporting to conduct business in other EU countries
Fulcra has a Banking and Investment licence in Belgium, as well as being regulated to conduct insurance based business.
Further to the introduction of EU cross border legislation relating to financial services under the Insurance Mediation Directive (IMD), Fulcra has successfully applied to the FSMA using the new passporting arrangements to conduct IMD business on a Pan European basis, particularly but not exclusively in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain and France.
The FSA has already added Fulcra to its website and allocated an EEA number.
